We will work preventively and strive for continuous improvements.
We will, to the extent possible, prioritize goods and services that have a lower impact on the environment over other products.
We will work to ensure that our suppliers and contractors address environmental issues in accordance with our requirements.
Everyone at Virke impex AB should gain good knowledge of environmental issues through training and active involvement, while environmental responsibility should be included in everyone's job description.
We will demonstrate openness, provide information about the company's environmental work and be responsive to changes in the world around us.
Virke impex does not trade in timber that comes from:
Illegal logging.
Forest areas where traditional or civil rights are violated.
Forests where high conservation values are threatened.
Natural forests that have been cleared for the purpose of using the area for plantations or non-forest land use.
Genetically modified (GM) trees
Virke impex is certified according to FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®) and PEFC ™ (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes)
